Climate Change

KPC delivers strategic advice and financing solutions to help countries mitigate emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change.

KPC supports governments, financial institutions, and international organizations in addressing climate change through tailored technical and financial advisory services. We help integrate climate mitigation and adaptation into national policies, sectoral strategies, investment plans, and financing instruments.

Our expertise includes the design of climate finance mechanisms—such as carbon markets, climate funds, and green bonds — that mobilize resources for impactful, low-emission, and climate-resilient development. We advise on the integration of climate risk into cross-sectoral planning and support the development of climate action plans and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen institutional resilience. In addition, KPC is a member of the EU Expert Group EGI (Expert Group Means of Implementation), member of the Austrian negotiating delegation at the UN climate negotiations, as well as advisor to the Austrian member of the Supervisory Board of the UN Green Climate Fund as well as the UN Fund Responding to Loss and Damage.

Climate Austria, a flagship initiative, reflects our long-standing leadership in voluntary climate action. It enables companies and individuals to make meaningful contributions to high-quality climate protection projects in Austria and worldwide. We support the development of eligibility criteria, monitoring, and reporting systems to ensure transparency and measurable impact. By advising on policy frameworks and regulatory incentives, KPC helps create enabling environments that attract private sector investment.

Through capacity building and technical assistance, we enhance the ability of financial intermediaries to assess climate-related risks and opportunities, scaling investments in renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable infrastructure, and nature-based solutions. We also assist clients in aligning financing with international climate commitments and ESG standards, facilitating access to global climate funds and carbon markets.
